Ripples

Ripples are small waves or undulations that occur on the surface of a liquid, typically as a result of a disturbance, such as a stone being thrown into water. When the object disrupts the stillness of the liquid, it creates a series of circular waves that propagate outward from the point of impact. Ripples can also metaphorically describe the subtle, spreading effects of an event or action, illustrating how a single change can influence a larger environment or group over time. In both physical and metaphorical contexts, ripples denote gradual, often gentle, changes that expand outward from their source.
